New Beta Release: 2026M1191-beta

We’re rolling out a new beta today. The update will be released gradually, so it may take a bit to reach everyone, but it should be available to all of you soon. Here are the main changes included in this release:

Bug Fixes

  • Improved system robustness to reduce cases where the piston could freeze or retract unexpectedly during a shot.
  • Added safer handling for out-of-range pressure, flow, and power setpoints.
  • Improved overall shot stability during profile execution.
  • Include serial in hostname.
  • Fix brightness thread hangs.
  • Improve crash reporting of the realtime core.
  • Dial: improve profile hive sync.
  • Dial: fix memory leaks in clock screen.

Improvements / New Features

  • Introduced a new profile execution engine that runs simplified JSON profiles directly on the ESP.
  • Added a new arbitration layer that prioritizes pressure and flow limits over stage targets when needed.
  • Improved transitions between pressure control and flow control for smoother shot behavior.
  • Shots can now finish automatically once the piston reaches the bottom of the cylinder.
  • Stage skipping from the context menu is available again.
  • Added more runtime logging and diagnostics through Sentry.
  • Improved dial app memory management decreasing the likelihood of dial app crashes.
  • The plotter UI has been enhanced with significant usability improvements.
  • The knob rotation behaves better now. It only reacts once a full step is completed, preventing unintended rotations.
