Meticulous Espresso is a robotic lever machine that marries the flavour nuance of a vintage manual‑lever with the repeatability of modern sensors and closed‑loop control.

The machine works by movement of a robotic piston that pressurizes water previously heated on its brewing chamber through the coffee grounds, while controlling parameters such as water flow, pressure curves and output weight thanks to the high-precision sensors located inside the unit.

  • Electrical Safety

    • Use only the original 3-wire (grounded) power cord supplied with the machine.
    • Connect the power cord to a 3-pin, earthed outlet; never remove or bypass the grounding pin, and do not use 2-pin adapters.
    • Do not switch mains voltage while the machine is on. Turn the machine off and unplug it before moving from a 100 V outlet to a 240 V outlet (or vice-versa).
    • Avoid spilling liquid on the power inlet, precision-scale jack, or rear accessory jacks; keep all connectors dry.
    • Ensure the piston path is clear before starting the machine, and never touch the motorised piston once it is moving.

  • Hot Surfaces & Burn Hazards

    • Hot surfaces – parts around the heating chamber (heated funnel, piston tube, chamber lid, group-head area and portafilter) become extremely hot during operation. Do not touch these parts while the machine is on. Grip the portafilter only by its handle and lock it firmly before brewing.
    • Keep face and hands away from the heating chamber area for the entire brew cycle; hot liquid may splash when pressure releases.
    • The heating element and surrounding metal surfaces remain hot after use; allow the machine to cool before cleaning or storing.
    • Misuse of pressurised hot water can cause burns or other injury; operate the machine only as described in this manual.
  • Cleaning & Maintenance

    • Disconnect the mains power before cleaning internal parts. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth only. The appliance must not be immersed in water. Never immerse the machine, scale module or electronics.
    • Use filtered water to minimize scale; never add milk or other liquids to the chamber.
    • Clean all food-contact surfaces (heating chamber, funnel, portafilter and drip-tray) with soapy water, remove excess and dry after each use.
  • Mechanical Safety

    • Do not open the filling aperture (heating-chamber lid) during brewing.
    • Do not start heating for brewing without water in the heating chamber.
    • Do not touch the motorized piston once it starts moving.
    • Do not remove the portafilter until the brewing sequence is finished and all pressure has been released from the brewing chamber.
  • Installation and Usage

    • Place the machine on a level, dry surface away from children.
    • Do not plug—or insert—anything into the precision-scale jack or the rear accessory jacks unless it is an accessory approved for the Meticulous Espresso machine.
    • This appliance is for household use only.
  • General Safety Guidelines

    • This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, only if they are supervised or instructed in safe use and understand the hazards. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be carried out by children without supervision.

First Shot

Keep your Brewing Chamber Clean

  1. When preparing your puck, always ensure that the upper border of the basket and the portafilter’s ears are free from any coffee residues -thoroughly clean if necessary. And, before inserting the portafilter into the machine, wipe the shower screen with a clean cloth.
  2. After each coffee purge, clean the shower screen again with your clean cloth.
  3. Whenever you see the piston in its uppermost position (Raise), take the opportunity to wipe it down with your clean cloth.

Troubleshooting

My machine won’t power on

Check cable; reset outlet. If a power cycle doesn’t help, reach customer support to troubleshoot.

My machine won’t heat water

Likely cause: profile set to low temperature. Verify profile temperature. Reach customer support to troubleshoot or start the repair process.

"No Water" text on screen

Add water to MAX line and press the Dial to start heating again

Shot stops early (before end trigger)

Likely cause: Accidental disruption to scale readings. Do not make contact with the scale module or avoid touching or bumping the surface where the machine rests.

The piston is not moving

Likely cause: Hardware misconnection. Reach customer support to troubleshoot
